The Rizzi Group's Primary Care Team offers comprehensive care to residents in Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing communities. Our goal is to always provide excellent and compassionate primary care, helping to improve quality of life for our patients while reducing hospital admissions when possible. We have a vibrant team of providers with diverse knowledge and experience who specialize in many disciplines. This allows us to expand care to include specialty care and chronic disease management which helps to improve outcomes.
Meet The Primary Care Team
Eileen Drury, APRN
Eileen worked as a nurse for over 20 years specializing in emergency and trauma before going back to school for her graduate degree as a Nurse Practitioner. She earned her degree from Carlow University in Pittsburgh, PA. She lived most of her life in Pennsylvania, but moved to Florida recently with her husband, John. Together they enjoy traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with their children. Eileen’s favorite part of working with Rizzi Geriatrics is getting to really know her patients. She loves having the opportunity to see their current home environment and the time to fully understand their health history, which helps her better treat each individual patient.

Mary Beth Stonebraker, APRN
Mary Beth obtained her undergraduate degree at Shepherd University in West Virginia. She worked as a med-surgical nurse in a critical care access hospital in a small community called Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. During her time as a floor nurse, she was nominated for the Daisy award and was the recipient in her final year as a floor nurse. Mary Beth then graduated Wheeling Jesuit University in December 2015 with a master’s of science in nursing. Mary Beth has always had a passion for caring for the geriatrics and elderly population. Her background of family practice in a small community town makes it easy for her to personalize your loved one's care..

Ramona Thomas, APRN
Ramona earned her master’s degree from the United States University in San Diego, CA specializing in Family Internal Medicine. She was born and raised in southern Indiana. Ramona now lives in Naples, FL with her husband, Henry. She loves spending time with her two sons, her daughter-in-law and her three beautiful granddaughters. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano, reading, and relaxing by the pool. Ramona’s favorite part of working with Rizzi Geriatrics is getting to use her knowledge, training, and background in chronic and acute illness. She also loves the relationships she has the opportunity to build with her patients.

Daniel Pop, APRN
Daniel is from Romania, where he attended Victor Babes Nursing School and obtained his associates degree. He continued his studies at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale and earned his master’s degree in nursing at South University in Savannah, GA. He is board certified as a family nurse practitioner. Daniel has expertise in adult and geriatric primary care and his passion is driven by the bonds he builds with patients over the course of their lives and the standards he holds in keeping them healthy and well. Daniel lives in Naples with his wife and son and enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, and traveling. He is fluent in English and Romanian; he also has basic language skills in Spanish.

Kathie Shelton, APRN
Kathie is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Originally from South Jersey, she has been in Florida for 20 years. She graduated with her master’s degree in nursing from South University. She has an extensive nursing background and has practiced for more than 30 years in the critical care setting, and primary and urgent care clinics. She has a passion for nursing, helping others, and loves working with the geriatric patient population. She enjoys listening to stories of the past and her patients’ lives. Kathie and her husband Dennis are parents to 4 children and have 7 grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, Sunday dinners with family, swimming, reading, and listening to music.

Marsha Wright, APRN
Marsha is a board-certified Advanced Practice Registered nurse in adult-gerontology. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Nova Southeastern University. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing at University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. Marsha is a member of The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Florida Chapter of the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurse Association. Her love for working with the senior population started when she was in high school and employed at a retirement community. She enjoyed making a difference in their lives and found pleasure in knowing she was impacting individuals at a meaningful time of their life. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Amy Wilkinson, APRN
Amy was born and raised in upstate New York, attending East Syracuse-Minoa High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Siena College, a Master of Science in biological sciences and environmental policy from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an Associates of Applied Science in nursing from SUNY Adirondack College, and a Master of Science in nursing from Walden University. After she completed nursing school, Amy relocated to Naples, Florida and began her nursing career at Naples Community Hospital. She held a variety of positions as a registered nurse including critical care and infection control. After becoming board-certified as a nurse practitioner in acute care and gerontology, she then became professionally trained in emergency medicine. Amy enjoys spending time outdoors with her daughter, her family, and friends. Amy also has a passion for raising awareness for children with learning differences.

Margaret DeSear, APRN-FNP
Margaret was born and raised in Naples, Florida. She has worked in healthcare for over 20 years. Margaret earned her nursing degree in 2004. In 2018, Margaret obtained her degree as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse at South University with High Honors. As a nurse and nurse practitioner, she has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. Compassion, empathy, and patience are important to Margaret and are reflected in her work. She portrays excellent intrapersonal skills, which allow her to have a therapeutic relationship with her patients. Margaret is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. In her free time, Margaret enjoys traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.

Lori Schloegel, APRN
Lori was born and raised in Oak Lawn, one of the beautiful suburbs of Chicago. After she married, Lori and her husband moved to New Lenox, IL where they raised their 3 children. She earned her BSN from Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa and her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Adult-Gerontology from Purdue University. Lori started her nursing career in a hospital setting in 1987 after college. She spent 5 years in medical-surgical nursing and in the ICU. After her first child was born, she started in Home Health. Lori chose Home Health originally for flexibility, but quickly found she loved working with geriatric patients. She now has over 30 years of experience working with the geriatric population. Lori was excited to work with Rizzi Geriatric Associates because she wanted to continue providing care to elderly in their home setting. Lori and her husband relocated to SW Florida in 2019 with their dog, Coco, and they absolutely love this area. She is still an avid Chicago sports team fan- Go Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks!

Ori Shelton, APRN
Oriannie “Ori” was born and raised in Haiti. She earned her Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing at Nova Southeastern University and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Florida Gulf Coast University. Ori started her nursing career as a staff nurse at the Rehabilitation Hospital in Downtown Lee Memorial. She then transitioned to the Stepdown ICU and the Neuro and Medical ICU. While working in the ICU, she completed her DNP. After graduating she worked for a year in radiation oncology. Ori cares deeply about her patients and enjoys working with the geriatric population. These are the patients she has worked with most and she is familiar with their special needs as they age. At her core is a desire to help others. She believes we all have a mission and hers is to help others in their moment of need when they are vulnerable. She enjoys hearing about her patients’ lives and appreciates how much she can learn from their life experiences. Ori is fluent in French, Spanish, Haitian Creole, and English. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, having Sunday dinners, and listening to podcasts.

Khristy Axford, APRN
Khristy was born in a small town in Oklahoma and raised in California. She started her career in Washington state as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Skilled Nursing. Working in this setting, Khristy realized she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare and went on to further her education. After becoming a Registered Nurse, she worked in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility setting and in an inpatient medical critical care unit. Khristy earned her degree as a Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama. In her career Khristy has also worked in trauma surgery and cardiovascular. Her goal with every patient is to create the best medical plan to optimize health and quality of life. She understands how important it is to treat the entire individual. She is an excellent listener and has a talent for being both sympathetic and empathetic. Khristy enjoys providing one on one medical care to the aging population and hearing about their life experiences. Khristy and her husband have 5 children. They love to travel and cook; they are huge foodies!

Megan Murr, APRN
Megan, a native of Indiana, holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing from Indiana University, Purdue University of Fort Wayne, Masters of Nursing Education, and a Masters of Nursing Practice Certificate from Purdue University Global. Commencing her nursing journey as a staff nurse at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, Megan later transitioned to Oncology nursing with Parkview Health. During her tenure as a COVID-19 Charge Nurse, she pursued and completed her FNP, subsequently working for two years as an APRN in radiation oncology. Megan is dedicated to serving the geriatric population, aiming to establish impactful relationships with her clients. Committed to ongoing education, she continually expands her knowledge to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. In her leisure time, Megan enjoys family moments, attending church, and actively contributing to her community.

Joy Sickles, APRN
Joy obtained her undergraduate degree at Denison University in Granville, Ohio where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology/pre-med studies. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mount Carmel College of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio and her master’s degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in Family Internal Medicine. She has extensive experience in adult and geriatric primary care with patients who have polychronic conditions and her passion is driven by her strong faith and the meaningful relationships she builds with patients over the course of their lives. Joy now lives in Bonita Springs, FL with her husband, Michael. She loves spending time with her two sons who live in Columbus, Ohio and Santa Monica, California. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, pickleball, and relaxing on the beach.
